With over 20 years of industry experience, our founder Sarah opened Salon Root with a vision: to create a clean, conscious salon space where beauty and well-being go hand in hand. Passionate about empowering both clients and fellow stylists, she’s dedicated to helping others achieve the looks they love using healthier, non-toxic alternatives.  She believes that beauty should never come at the expense of health, animals, or the environment, and she has made it her mission to create a salon experience that honors those values.
 

In addition to her extensive training in cutting, color, and product chemistry, Sarah is also a Certified Hair Loss Practitioner, bringing a compassionate and informed approach to hair recovery and scalp health. As a certified trichologist, Sarah brings a unique level of expertise to her practice. She specializes in understanding and addressing the root cause of hair and scalp issues, particularly hair loss. By combining her technical skills with a holistic perspective, he helps clients restore both their hair health and their confidence.

Outside of the salon, she loves spending time with her boys, finds joy in caring for animals, and expresses her creativity in many forms. Whether she is crafting a new hairstyle, exploring innovative beauty practices, or creating at home, her work ajd her life are guided by curiosity, compassion, ajf a love for making others feel their best.

Sarah is an artist, educator, and mentor with over a decade of experience in the beauty industry. Known for her intuitive approach and innovative eye, she specializes in creating custom looks that reflect each client’s unique personality and lifestyle. With over 15 years of experience in the beauty industry, Tina (she/her) has always been drawn to work with those who have felt like their vision for their hair has been misunderstood and those seeking more alternative styles. She has spent years taking as many classes as she can and building relationships in and out of the beauty world in order to grow herself as a stylist and community member in Fredericksburg. Her passion lies within personalized, signature, and affirming styles that grow out as gracefully as possible, affording her clients the ability to go longer between appointments.

Receiving her license in 2021, Trinity has always had a passion for bringing beauty and creative
expression to those around her.

She loves any and everything color, from big transitions and fun pops of color to everyday touch-ups and lived in blended looks, and she is also knowledgeable working with many textures — particularly curly, as a fellow curly girl! Trinity loves Salon Roots' standards for holistic haircare and cruelty free products. Outside of the salon, she enjoys spending time with her significant other Parker and their dog Gus. She is also known for loving Taylor swift (although she likes many other types of music), diving into fiction books, watching horror movies, and advocating for mental health.

Graduating from Paul Mitchell in 2024, Landry joined the Salon Root team and has been building her career with a drive for continuing her education. She loves creating custom looks that span from natural highlights to creative, bright colors, especially lived-in looks that fit her clients lifestyle best. Landry holds a certification for makeup and has a passion for bright and creative eye looks. She strives for her clients to feel like their most authentic selves. She loves to connect with folks over music and books (especially fantasy). She has a fluffy and crazy kitty named Sophia. Landry has a passion for cruelty-free beauty, which is a shared value at Salon Root.
