Available Positions

  • Our Assistant Stylist position is designed for a licensed cosmetologist who is ready to strengthen their technical skills, gain hands-on experience, and grow under the guidance of an experienced stylist.

    ​

    Assistant Stylists may support the team through:

    • Shampoo and treatment services

    • Guest preparation

    • Color and styling assistance

    • Laundry and salon upkeep

    • Product organization and restocking

    • Client experience support

    • Model services and approved appointments

    • Salon education and skill development

    ​

    This position is ideal for someone who is newly licensed or has fewer than two years of industry experience and wants a structured path toward becoming an independent stylist.

     

    Qualifications

    - Licensed cosmetologist

    - Less than 2 years of industry experience

    - Assigned to a Master Stylist mentor

    - Supports both assigned mentor and salon operations

  • Our Hair Stylist position is best suited for a licensed professional who can confidently provide independent services while delivering the level of consultation, education, and personalized care Salon Root guests expect.

    ​

    Hair Stylists are responsible for:

    • Providing detailed consultations

    • Performing high-quality hair and color services

    • Educating clients on hair and scalp care

    • Recommending appropriate home-care products

    • Maintaining accurate client notes and formulas

    • Supporting rebooking and long-term client relationships

    • Participating in salon education

    • Contributing to a clean, supportive, team-focused environment

    ​

    Experience is valued, but technical skill alone is not enough. We are looking for someone who is dependable, teachable, kind, and aligned with our approach to conscious beauty and client care.

    ​

    Qualifications

    - Minimum 2 years licensed experience

    - Successfully completed onboarding program

    - Demonstrates technical competency and Salon Root service standards

  • Our Master Stylist position is intended for an experienced professional who demonstrates advanced technical skill, strong client retention, leadership, and a commitment to mentoring developing stylists.

    ​

    Master Stylists may be responsible for:

    • Providing advanced hair and color services

    • Mentoring Assistant Stylists

    • Supporting technical education

    • Helping uphold service and consultation standards

    • Contributing to team development

    • Supporting quality control and guest satisfaction

    • Leading by example in professionalism, communication, and salon care

    ​

    This role is ideal for a stylist who wants to continue growing behind the chair while also becoming an important part of Salon Root’s education and leadership culture.

     

    Qualifications

    - 7+ years industry experience

    - General color certification

    - Demonstrates advanced technical expertise

    - Serves as a mentor to junior stylists

    - May be assigned an assistant
